Bahal - Ikelos (2010)

What initially grabbed me about this album was the first 30 seconds or so of the first track. A very morbid funeral march to an aptly titled song 'La Tormenta' that then goes to speedy black riffage accompanying very gruff vocals.
A mostly one man project whose content on this album is all about history, Grecian history at that! Being a 'progressive' bm outfit we're looking at some long track times that can drag out and mush together amidst the sea of solos here. Said solos are both the attraction and detraction from this album - there are a lot, perhaps too many, an they force the songs to drag so the solos can all be performed.

SO! If you like some sweet geetar'n and can understand Italian and want some historical information, this album is for you!
