The Dark Prison Massacre - The Secret Of Black Silk Stockings - 2010

Another album most everywhere else on the internet posted last week, but hey, you don't come to loadown for 0day releases do you? You come for our witty and thorough reviews! You don't? Damn.

"TDPM" is comprised of three vocalists, a bassist, guitarist and drum machine. I'm pretty damn sure it's a drum machine. Plus they're band number two from China today.. aw yeah. Vocally the styles are mostly guttural ranging from deeeeeep bellow to reety rattles and squeels. I can't really say any of the guitar work stuck out but it did play a good role in the album, so maybe that's a good thing. Band seems very 'vocal first' instrumentation later - however there are 2 instrumental tracks towards the end (Battle Between Matured Bodies) that do give good example of the guitar work and actually decent drum machine work.
