Asia has long been a place largely ignored by the metal community. Obviously, there are some well known bands like Sigh or Wormrot, but there are many more that are unfairly looked over. This is one of them. Anthelion is a Taiwanese Black Metal band (just like ChthoniC!), and they've managed to release one of the best black metal offerings of the 2000s. Bloodshed Rebellion is a strong album. The guitars utilize typical black metal riffing with an obviously Asian-infused sound, the drums are tight and fast. The vocals, sung in Taiwanese, are powerfully shrieked and growled. If you like black metal, or metal at all... just fucking get this already.
